Not only is the quality of the courses world-class, but you can find them in almost every corner of the country, particularly the areas that are famous for their incredible weather. The Southern areas like the popular Costa del Sol, Huelva and Cadiz are absolutely amazing for their mix of great weather, gastronomy, and the many sights that one can see in the area, and the same can be said for both the Costa Blanca and Costa Brava in Eastern Spain!

Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Barcelona, pick-up the rental car and drive to the Girona province

Today as you reach Barcelona’s International Airport, you will pick up your rental car along with all the important travel documentation you may need during your trip. Before you head to your resort, we recommend exploring the great city of Barcelona. The capital of Catalonia boasts a wonderful location by the Mediterranean Sea. You’ll be amazed by architect Antoni Gaudí’s works, such as the Sagrada Familia Basilica, but also by the creativity and unique energy of this vibrant city.

Day 2 - Play Golf in Girona’s surroundings

Catalonia is one of the great golfing destinations in all of Spain. The famous PGA Catalunya Resort is frequently home to the Spanish Open and has been considered by a vast number of expert publications as the best golf course in all of Spain.

Day 3 - Drive to Madrid

This day will be spent driving towards the city of Madrid. We suggest that before you arrive at your hotel enjoy some time exploring the Spanish capital. You will be impressed by the monumentality and lifestyle of this cosmopolitan city. From historical sites, such as the Royal Palace or Plaza Mayor, to large boulevards such as Gran Vía or Paseo del Prado, Madrid is a city that never ceases to amaze. It offers the opportunity to enjoy its amazing terraces and markets, "tapas" and restaurants, and even some of the most important museums in Europe such as the Prado Museum or the Reina Sofía National Museum.

Day 4 - Play Golf in Madrid surroundings and enjoy a Flamenco night

Today will be all about golfing in one of Spain’s best locations for it, since Madrid is home to two of the best golf courses in all of Spain. Club de Golf Retamares was designed by Spanish champion Jose Maria Olazábal, and as of recently, it has been improved with the inclusion of five new lakes. Another great location is Real Golf La Herrería, one of the truly historical courses in Spain, founded in 1966 and one of Spanish Royal families' favorites. This location has received constant updates and is located within the space delimited as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the evening, you will have the opportunity to attend an authentic Flamenco show in one of the most famous tablaos in Madrid.

Day 5 - Departure south to Andalusia

This day will be spent driving South towards Andalucia. You will be staying in Estepona, not far from the border with the British Protectorate of Gibraltar. This will be a long drive, and as you reach Andalusia, we recommend that you make a stop to tour the marvelous city of Granada. This was once the capital of one of the greatest caliphates of Spain, the last city reconquered by the Catholic Kings, and it preserves much of the history of that time. Its historic city center and its cathedral, the Arab neighborhood of Albayzin and, of course, the most famous historical monument in Spain, La Alhambra, Granada is definitely a must-see!

Day 6 - Play Golf in Estepona area

Andalusia and golfing are two words that walk hand in hand. Estepona is very famous for having three of Spain’s finest golf courses in its most immediate area. Real Golf Valderrama, which is home to a Ryder’s Cup, the 16 VOLVO Masters, and also two American Express championships; the other is the Real Club de Sotogrande, which ranks among the Top 5 best golf courses ever designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. Finally we have the Finca Cortesín Golf Club, which is located in one of the finest luxury resorts in the world. Cabell B. Robinson’s golf course design and Gerald Huggan’s landscaping capture in full the natural characteristics of this beautiful region.

Day 7 - Play Golf or Explore Ronda

Today you can play golf in some of the suggested golf courses or just relax at your hotel's facilities! If you prefer to explore we recommend going to Ronda, this town is so picturesque that you will find yourself in what feels like a movie set. Being one of the most important whitewashed villages in Málaga, Ronda is located at the top of a steep 100-meter deep gorge. Inhabited by Celts, Phoenicians, Romans, and Arabs, its presence can still be felt strongly today. You will be amazed by Ronda's Old Bullring and by the scenic views from the different viewpoints scattered around the town! Before returning to your hotel, you can visit Setenil de las Bodegas, a small white village built under a rock formation.

On this last day, you'll leave your hotel in Andalusia and drive towards Málaga’s Airport, where you'll drop off the rental car and fly back home.
